sometimes we are so caught up on our worlds, we forget to step back and look at what's around us. usually there are many things we miss.

perspective says a lot about situations. it's always different. no matter where we stand our influence stretches further than often realize.

everything thing affects everything. and we hope that we affect things is the best possible way. we take into account the little we can see and then hope that in the end - things are left better. better in the most absolute sense possible.

but this is a tough one. the absolute is always the hardest to judge. most often times it is because it is difficult to weigh our own losses. self sacrifice is deemed noble and we always award brownie points.

but to the observer, nobility and brownie points mean little to the absolute picture. even if from the outsider's viewpoint - the best choice is simple.

but what really matters? i think in the end, we are left with the choices that allow us to better sleep at night and choices that don't. but we are too busy weighing it all, we get confused.

perhaps the only best we can achieve is the best that we can see - our perspective. because the bigger picture isn't our picture.
